Golden Milk
Golden Milk is a traditional Ayurvedic beverage made with turmeric root, milk (originally made with cow’s milk, but can also be made with plant-based and dairy-free milk like almond and coconut), and honey (or other sweetener).
It is also known as "turmeric milk" or "haldi doodh" in Hindi.
It is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is often consumed for its health benefits, such as reducing inflammation and pain, improving brain function and boosting the immune system.
Turmeric, a key ingredient in golden milk, is considered safe for pregnant women to consume in moderation. This spice has a long history of being used to improve digestion, alleviate nausea, and reduce inflammation. However, it is important to be mindful of the quality of milk used in the beverage. Pregnant women should choose either pasteurized cow's milk or non-dairy alternatives such as almond or coconut milk, ensuring that the milk is free from harmful bacteria. Before incorporating golden milk into your diet, it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure the safety and well-being of both you and your baby.

Stir in the honey (or other sweetener) to taste.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Note: You can also use turmeric paste which you can make by mixing equal parts of turmeric powder and water.
You can also customise the recipe by using coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk or any other milk of your choice. Additionally, you can add cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, ginger, vanilla extract or other ingredients to enhance the flavor and benefits of the drink.
Warning: When working with Tumeric root cover hands so not to dye fingers, and it will stain cups.
