Fennel and Ajwain Seed Water

Ingredients:

    • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds

    • 4 cups water


  1. In a medium-sized pot, add water and place it on the stove over medium heat.

  2. Add ajwain (carom seeds) and fennel seeds to the water.

  3. Bring the water to a gentle boil.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse into the water.

  5. After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down.

  6. Once the water has cooled, strain out the seeds using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

  7. Pour the infused water into a glass or container for storage.

  8. Serve the ajwain and fennel seeds water at room temperature or refrigerate it for a refreshing chilled drink. It's best consumed within 24 hours to enjoy its maximum freshness and flavour.
